Fight against Aboriginal seniors elder abuse

The Québec government recently reiterated its determination to pursue the fight against elder abuse, including Aboriginal seniors.
The Secrétariat aux affaires autochtones and the Ministère de la Famille will jointly fund each year until 2021-2022 projects aimed at combating the mistreatment and promoting the well-treatment of Aboriginal seniors. The maximum financial assistance offered to each organization is $15 000. The assistance is provided on an ad hoc basis but interested organizations can, however, submit projects each year. Where warranted, a project that is accepted can be submitted again and funded each year for the entire duration of the 2017 2022 Government Action Plan for the Social and Cultural Development of the First Nations and Inuit.
In this particular instance, the call for proposals will end on March 31, 2018. However, it will be revived shortly thereafter for 2018-2019.

All of the necessary documents are enclosed. They are also available online.
